The Franchi Affinity 3 is a semi-automatic shotgun designed for hunting and outdoor sporting applications. The platform uses Franchi’s Inertia Driven® operating system, which gives the shotgun a relatively simple mechanical design while keeping the action separate from the gas and powder residue produced during firing. Franchi describes the system as clean-running and low-maintenance.

The latest Affinity 3 generation features an updated stock design with ergonomic refinements. The forend has a slimmer profile with enhanced checkering, while the grip checkering has been repositioned to provide a more secure interface with the shooter’s hands. The updated design also incorporates an enlarged bolt release and trigger guard intended to make controls easier to operate, including when wearing gloves.

Another update is the adjustable recoil pad, which allows the length of pull to be configured for individual fit. Franchi states that the new recoil pad can reduce perceived recoil by up to 50 percent. The Affinity platform also incorporates Franchi’s adjustable-stock technology, providing additional options for stock fit.

For 2026, the Affinity 3 family includes multiple configurations, including 12- and 20-gauge models, left-handed versions, walnut-stock variants, sporting configurations, upland models, and camouflage finishes such as Realtree MAX-7 and Mossy Oak Bottomland. Barrel lengths vary by configuration, with examples including 26-, 28-, and 30-inch barrels.
